Gözde Göncü-Berk, Ph.D. is the Maria Manetti Shrem Endowed Chair in Design and Director of the Institute of Sustainable Design, Fashion and Textiles at UC Davis, where she also leads the WearLab.

Her research explores the intersection of clothing, textiles, and technology, developing wearable and soft systems that enhance health, wellbeing, and human performance. Integrating electronic and interactive textiles with a focus on sustainability, inclusivity, and human-centered design, her work spans applications from healthcare to space exploration.
