Dynamic Compression Stockings is a research project exploring how shape memory alloy (SMA) technology can transform medical compression garments, moving beyond static pressure toward intelligent, body-responsive compression.

This project first explored integration of shape memory alloys wires directly into knitted stocking structures followed by developing a fully knitted hybrid actuator with SMA wires and aramid yarns, enabling on-demand dynamic compression.
